Ashton is a storyteller, motivational speaker (www.ashtonspeaks.com), information technology leader, intrapreneur and nationally award-winning entrepreneur.
Ashton earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Engineering (Hoeft Technology Program) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He furthered his education by earning an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Ashton is a proud member of the 100 Black Men of America/Chicago, the illustrious Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), The Institute for Responsible Citizenship, National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) and The National Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA).
He is an accomplished, gospel-trained musician. He has played the piano since he was three and is currently co-director of a youth choir in Chicago.
Ashton is the former Vice Chair of Advancement and Development for the National Black MBA Association’s Board of Directors. He is the youngest to be elected to such a prestigious role.
